Grafoil® / Flexible Graphite Information

Grafoil® / Flexible Graphite is desirable for compression packing and gaskets, whose ability to seal comes from filling gaps through which fluid might flow.

Grafoil® / Flexible Graphite products produce these valuable properties:

· Flexible Graphite is free from creep under constant load

· Flexible Graphite is stable from cryogenic temperatures far below zero to temperatures well above the    melting point of most ferrous and non-ferrous metals

· Flexible Graphite resists a wide range of corrosive materials

· Flexible Graphite protects sealing surfaces with quick dispersion of heat to eliminate hot spots that    can damage metal surfaces

· Flexible Graphite is nuclear radiation resistant even when exposed to massive doses of radiation

· Flexible Graphite has been proven fire-safe in the presence of highly volatile fluids and extremely high    temperatures

· Flexible Graphite is resilient and assures that a leak-proof seal can be achieved when pitted, rough,    gouged or out of flat surfaces are used

· Flexible Graphite is available in pure laminate or reinforced

· Flexible Graphite will not stick or bond resulting in easy removal and clean-up
